Home again

It's been a while since I posted.

The first half of April was busy,

and then we headed to
Tasmania for 12 days!

We had a wonderful time,

and arrived home just last night.

I'm looking forward to sharing lots of

our photos with you

(but not all 1781 of them,

you'll be glad to hear!)

In the meantime

here are just two photos,

taken at Mt Wellington and Richmond.

* * *

We are loving being back home

and lapping up the warm sunshine-y

Sydney weather.

We've filled the clothesline with washing,

aired the suitcases,

and opened the windows

to let in the warm breeze.

Earlier this afternoon,

Steve had a quartet practising here,

so strains of Schubert floated out

the open windows.

Home is good.

In the backyard

We had plans to go out today,

but instead opted for an afternoon in the garden.
Why not enjoy it, after all our hard work lately?

A picnic afternoon tea,

some games, boules, an obstacle course ...

and when Steve suggested going to the corner shop
for an iceblock, the girls were out of there in a hurry.

Leaving me in the quiet garden.

Here you can see the fence which will soon be replaced:

Over the last weeks we (mostly Steve)
have cleared this whole fenceline of 20 years of
lovely green vines -
jasmine, bouganvillea and more,
and plenty of agapanthus below.

It looks ugly and barren now,
but has potential, at least!

A visitor

This little critter has

spent the last few days

on our verandah.
